Edit1. What is SandboxPC?
- SandboxPC, like sand on the playground that reduces injuries of children and can easily erase the traces by simply flattening the surface, is an application program that runs web browsers in a protected space minimizing the problems caused by malware and viruses. It can erase the traces of malfunction just by initializing the PC maintaining the optimum PC condition.

- There may be programs that don’t act properly when run in the SandboxPC.
TopEdit2. Start SandboxPC
TopEdit2.1 Setup SandbocPC
- Download and run the SandboxPC installation program from the NoAD website.
- Follow the installation steps explained as below.
- Step 1

- Follow the guideline to complete the configuration process.

You can choose programs to run in the SandboxPC here. Choose the programs to run in the SandboxPC. If the programs that you want are not on the list, go to the Options settings – Program execution settings?? and add programs
- Step 3

Choose the existing programs to delete when installing the SandboxPC. Uncheck the programs that you don’t want to delete. This process will delete the existing programs related to a web browser and initialize the web browser.
- Step 4

Select Finish and the SandboxPC configuration will be completed.

- Shows Sandbox menus

- runs the SandBOX browser.

- It initializes the SandBOX.

- It hides the Sandbox Consol.

Edit4. Sandboxed Web browser
- The SandBOX web browser runs in the Sandbox environment.
Programs and web browsers running in this environment are displayed with orange outlines distinguished from programs and web browsers running in the general environment.

Using the SandBOX web browser can minimize the damage caused by malware and viruses that invade through web browsers.
TopEdit4.1 Running the SandBOX web browser
'샌드박스 환경설정 마법사'를 통하여 이미 사용할 웹 브라우저가 되어 있어야 합니다.
- 샌드박스 콘솔 메뉴에 등록된 웹 브라우저를 클릭하여 샌드박스화 웹 브라우저를 실행합니다.

'샌드박스 환경설정 마법사'에서 사용할 웹 브라우저가 등록되지 않은 경우
- 샌드박스화 웹 브라우저를 사용하기 위해서는 반드시 '메뉴' - '옵션' - '프로그램 실행'으로 이동하여 이용하는
웹 브라우저를 '추가'하여 주십시오.
자세한 방법은 '프로그램 실행설정'을 이용하여 주십시오.
TopEdit4.2 The features of the SandBOX web browser
- The SandBOX web browser writes and save files in the SandBOX virtual space.
- The files wrote and saved in the virtual space don’t affect the outside system.
- The files in the SandBOX virtual space can be searched with the SandBOX browser.
TopEdit4.3 3 Installing programs downloaded through the SandBOX web browser
- Programs downloaded through the SandBOX web browser can be set to be installed in the SandBOX virtual space or in the system at Option – Program installation settings.

- The SandBOX browser is used to view or run the programs downloaded/installed in the SandBOX virtual space.
※ Files in the SandBOX virtual space can’t be viewed with the general browser.

- Click the ‘SandBOX browser’ on the SandBOX Consol

- Click ‘Menu’ and ‘Run the SandBOX browser’ on the SandBOX Consol

- Right-click on the SandBOX tray icon and click ‘Run SandBOX browser’

- Able to manage files/folders in the SandBOX virtual space.
- Able to run the programs in the virtual space.
- Files/Folders in the outside system can be moved to the SandBOX virtual space.
- Files/Folders in the SandBOX virtual space can be moved to the outside system.
- Files/folders created in the SandBOX will be marked with icons shown as below.

The programs/files saved and recorded will be displayed with the ‘S’ on the icons.
※ If there are files in the folders that are saved or recorded in the SandBOX will be displayed with the ‘S’

Edit5.3.1 Copying/moving files and folders with the SandBOX browser
- Files copied or moved with the SandBOX browser will be moved to the SandBOX virtual space. If you don’t want to move files into the SandBOX virtual space, use the general browser.
※ Names of the files/folders created in the SandBOX browser will not be duplicate with the names of the existing files/folders in the outside system.
- Files/folders can be moved with the following order.
- Step 1

Select files/folders to be moved to the SandBOX virtual space with the SandBOX browser.
- Step 2


Above – ‘Method 1’. Below – ‘Method 2’
Copy files.
- Method 1. Right-click on the files and select COPY
- Method 2. Use ‘CTRL+C’ to copy
- Step 3

Move to a folder or create a folder and move it to a desired folder.
- Step 4


Execute Paste.
- Method 1. Right-click and select Paste
- Method 2. ‘CTRL+V’ to paste
- Step 5

You can check the files that have been moved with the SandBOX browser.
TopEdit5.3.2 Moving files/folders to the outside system
- Files in the SandBOX virtual space can be moved to the outside system in the following order.

Choose files/folders in the SandBOX virtual space to be moved to the outside system.
- Step 2

Right-click and choose Export SandBOX file.

You can trace the movements of files/folders with the general browser.
※Exporting a whole folder will be supported later.
TopEdit6. Deleting programs installed in the SandBOX virtual space.
- Programs installed in the SandBOX virtual space should be deleted with ‘Program ADD/Remove’ running in the SandBOX.
- Executing Window XP ‘Program ADD/Remove’
- Step 1

The SandBOX browser – type in ‘Control Panel’.
- Step 2

Click ‘Program ADD/REMOVE’.
- Step 3

You can check tool bars installed with the SandBOX.

※ Programs installed in the virtual space can not be viewed on the regular ‘Program ADD/Remove’.
- Running ‘Program & functions??’ in Window Vista
- Step 1

The SandBOX browser – type in ‘Control Panel’ in the address bar.
- Step 2

Click Program and select Program remove.
- You can remove programs by initializing the SandBOX.
‘SandBOX initialization’ will erase all the programs and files installed in the SandBOX. Please refer to the ‘SandBOX initialization’ if there is any question related to this process.
TopEdit7. Initializing the SandBOX
- It deletes all the contents in the SandBOX virtual space and restores to the initial state when the SandBOX was first installed.
- Caution
- Please back up the data in the SandBOX virtual space before initializing the SandBOX.
- Data can not be restored after the initialization.
Edit7.1 Initializing the SandBOX
Step 1
- There are 3 ways to initialize the SandBOX.
- Click the ‘Initialize SandBOX’ button on the SandBOX consol.

- Click ‘Menu’-‘Tools’-‘Initialize SandBOX’.

- Right-click on the SandBOX tray and click ‘Initialize SandBOX’.

Step 2
- If you want to initialize, click YES, if not, click NO to finish the initialization.
- If the initialization is in process, the progress will be displayed in the SandBOX consol
Step 3
- Initialization is completed when the message shown below appears.

- You can open Options settings window following the instructions below.
- Click the ‘Option’ button in the SandBOX Consol.

- Click on the ‘Menu and click ‘SandBOX settings’.

- General
- o Program execution settings when starting the system
Checking this box will set the SandBOX to start automatically when the system starts.
- o Opening the SandBOX window when starting the system
If you check this box, the SandBOX Consol will display when the system starts.
- o Turning on the automatic SandBOX on when starting the system
If you check this box, the SandBOX browser(샌드박스화??) will be turned on automatically.
- Update
- Automatic program update settings
Checking this box will set the program update function on
TopEdit8.2 Notice

- Set the user notification when you have following actions
- Changing items in the start-up program
If you check this item, the SandBOX will monitor the start-up program and notify the user.
- Register system service
If you check this item, any new registration will be monitored and notified to the user.
- Installing the web browser add-ons (BHO,ActiveX, etcx)
If you check this item, installment in the web browsers will be monitored and notified to the user.
- Method of notification
- Shaking the window
If you choose this function, the SandBOX will notify the user of the actions that the user selected in the notification settings by shaking the window.
- Popping up the notification window
If you choose this function, the SandBOX will notify the user of the actions that the user selected in the notification settings by popping up the notification window.
TopEdit8.3 Program execution settings
You can add/remove programs to run in the SandBOX.
If you run program add/remove, the menu list on the SandBOX Consol will be changed.
※ Only the files with ‘EXE’ extension can be registered.
※ 샌드박스에 등록된 프로그램은 반드시 샌드박스에서 실행하여야 샌드박스화됩니다

- Step 1
Put the files or shortcut icons on the SandBOX Consol.

- Step 2
You can check if the registration is completed.


- Adding programs using the SandBOX option settings
- Step 1

Select ADD.
- Step 2

If the browser window opens, move to where the file is and click open.
※ It will register automatically if you select a shortcut icon that is connected to a file with ‘EXE’extension.
- Step 3


You can check the added file on the list.
You can check the notepad that has run in the SandBOX environment.
- Removing
- Step 1


Select the files to be removed and click REMOVE.
- Step 2

You can check the removed programs on the list.

You can check the registry editer that has run in the general environment.
